Saralai's dream has always been to sing. She was born singing. As a smalll child she would burst out in song constantly, often entertaining those close by. Her competition journey began in 2nd grade while her family was serving in Thailand as missionaries. Her school chose her to represent them in their singing competition. She sang in both Thai and English. Winning her school district, regionals and finally secured a gold medal finish ( only 1/10th of a point behind the winner) in the final round before nationals. All the while she competed against singers in the 5th and 6th grades!
Once again she has a chance to see her dream come true. She has won the Hawaii State Junior Female Soloist title and now has the opportunity to win the National Title, which will not only provide her with added experience but much needed scholarship money. Saralai is looking into attending Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA to study Vocal Performance and possibly double majoring in Biomedical Sciences in preparation for med school. Saralai's hearts desire is to be a Christian artist; however, knowing that making that dream a reality is very hard she also wants to pursue pediatric medicine.
